Capacity building, training and livelihood

The Simon Ssenkaayi Foundation believes that while Inspiration that while ignites and drives individuals to start, the sustainability of what is started can only be achieved through building and strengthening the skills, understanding instincts, abilities, processes and organizing resources that individuals need to survive, adapt, and thrive in a complex world we live in.

Through capacity building, the Simon Ssenkaayi Foundation focuses on furthering stakeholder’s abilities to do new things and improve what they currently do. Most simply, our intent is to improve performance and to enhance ability to function and continue to stay upfront within a rapidly changing environment. In order to do this, SSF focus on strengthening the capacity of target individuals and groups through the following;

  • Business mentorship programs
  • The small start-up Apprenticeship program
  • Participatory planning process
  • Community managed micro-finances
  • Community based vocational training
